Root Canal Fillings are commonly done on teeth that present with symptoms of unprovoked pain. The treatment involves three stages;
(1) Extirpation:-removal of the pulp content
(2) BMP:-Bio-Mechanical Preparation which is widening and cleaning of the canal
(3)Obturation: which is the filling of the canal itself with a rubber-like material that totally occupies the canal space. An ordinary filling is placed on the defective part of the tooth thereafter. The Root Canal Treatment may be performed in one, two or three visits depending on the level of infectionpresent in the toothand canal complexity.
